Good days and bad days

Saturday:

  • Did laundry (down 2 flights of stairs),
  • Washed sheets (also 2 flights of stairs),
  • Hand-washed my winter coat,
  • Did the dishes,
  • Cleaned out the fridge,
  • Cleaned out the cabinets,
  • Culled old clothes that no longer fit from the closet,
  • Put stuff up on eBay,
  • Wrote up a study guide for Russian Fairy Tales midterm,
  • Watched Russian cartoons to expand vocab and listening comprehension,
  • Read a (short) French book,
  • Wrote a 1-page essay,
  • Posted a graded Russian essay on LJ,
  • Folded & put away clothes,
  • Made brownies,
  • Boiled eggs for the week's lunches,
  • Boiled chicken drumsticks for the week's dinners,
  • Talked to mom,
  • Made truck reservations for moving after graduation,
  • Wrote a letter (not an email!) to an old friend,
  • Read 30 pages for classes,
  • Paid bills, and
  • Completed exit loan counseling for college.

Sunday:
  • Met with French teacher for practice and coffee.
  • Went shopping at 8 different stores and found- literally- nothing
  • Tried to treat myself to lunch out.

  • Was informed that the product I like has been scaled back to online orders only.
  • Lost my password to efile state taxes.
  • Discovered that my final homework assignment was horrifically misrepresented; instead of a 20-minute translation of text and easy powerpoint summation, it required 4 hours of research on European and Russian history and affairs in the first 30 years of the 20th century.
  • Learned that spending 4 hours reading about historical atrocities and crises makes for not falling asleep for at least 2 hours afterwards.
  • Remembered after 2 hours of staring at the ceiling that I hadn't written a post for Monday. Got up, wrote a cheater post, and gave up on the day.

So that's my excuse for the crappy post on Monday. Sorry, but there was no way after all of that that you were going to get anything other than a hateful and morose rant, so I figured I'd wait. Hopefully this next week will be better!
