Delay til Tuesday

Still working on getting my schedule worked out, so today's post is going to be posted tomorrow. There may be some changes to the posting schedule in the future, but for now, it's just one day behind. See you tomorrow!

For now, just remember it could be worse; your day could be something like this:

Cheers!

Late, again

Sorry guys, today's post is going to go up on Tuesday. Been reworking the schedule, and missed the deadline. Since, however, I have been dealing with the job-hunt depression, it will be a real one, not a "wah, woe is me, I have no job" whine. In the meantime, here's my excuse. See you tomorrow!

Monday

The past two weeks have been ridiculously busy, so I'm just going to admit that I have nothing prepared for today. The only big news is that the job hunt continues with no major breakthroughs, and that Maryland is a ridiculously expensive state to live in. Whee!

Hope your week goes well!

Delays again!

I know, I know, I've been really bad about posting updates the last few weeks. I am technically back in the states, but not really home yet. I've been busy meeting up with old friends and hanging out with family, so there's not been a need for updates; on the other hand, I haven't had terribly much downtime to plan out new post topics either, which is why things have been pretty quiet on the blogfront.

I'm flying home this coming Monday, so I sincerely doubt there'll be a post up then, unless it's something along the lines of "what's wrong with airports these days, and what needs to be changed to return to a rational state of business." Lengthy title, but I may just have to do that one someday... Anyhow! Things should return to normal (i.e. Monday and Friday postings) as of this coming Friday, the 24th, with a return to FTPs. Until then, here's something to consider:

Filler: vows

When I was young, I made a lot of vows concerning the rest of my life. And surprisingly, most of them I have been able to keep. Here's a short list of those I can remember:
  • No addictive substances in my life, ever.
    • The "hardest" drug I have ever used was a prescription painkiller when I got a concussion after hitting a parked car on my bike when I was 11, and I've only been mildly drunk twice in my life. Being clean and sober is a habit, too. :)
  • Never deprive myself of sleep.
    • I have yet to pull an all-nighter for anything, and I'm sure the people who have to deal with me regularly appreciate it.
Never done it, never will.
  • No caffeine in the morning.
    • Keeping this one makes keeping the previous one easier. If you know that you have to deal with the consequences of sleep deprivation without outside help, you're less likely to do it.

Havoc and mayhem

It has been brought to my attention that today's post didn't go up as planned... it turns out that the new blog interface on my side of things ate a couple pictures in the post I had prepared, and sadly, I don't have the time right now to hunt them all back down. My apologies, post will be up by Wednesday!

Vacation! (Filler)

For the first time in a couple years, I am actually on vacation, and not feeling particularly stressed to do much of anything. I had written a lovely filler post about things I'd promised to do in life when I was young, but I didn't finish it, and I've been too caught up in vacation today to finish it. So! Here's a set of pictures I took a while ago of fortuitous chocolate chip cookie arrangements.

cookies two and three find inappropriate.

Filler #1!

As many of you know, I am on vacation from November 19th to the 27th, visiting family and friends I've not seen in about six years. Rather than just let you guys suffer from a lack of stories, however, I've dug up some older sketches that never quite made it on here, for one reason or another.

This one was supposed to be a complaint about a particularly heinous day I had. When I woke up, it was literally freezing outside and my heater had decided not to work. When I got home, naturally, it was
